FAQ

Who is QSR Seat?

QSR Seat is a line by EASEN Commercial Furniture, focused on fast casual, quick-service and food hall seating. We design and make booths, chairs and counter seating in our own production base in Lecong, Foshan, China, and ship direct to operators, franchisees, developers and dealers in the US and Canada.

How many square feet per seat should a fast casual restaurant plan?

A common planning range for the dining area of a fast casual or quick-service restaurant is about 11-14 sq ft (1.0-1.3 m²) per seat, including tables and aisles but excluding kitchen, queue and restrooms. Booth-heavy and counter-seat layouts can come in tighter. Your legal occupant load is set by the local building and fire code, so confirm with your designer or code official.

Are booths or loose chairs better for fast casual?

Most successful fast casual rooms use both. Booths seat more guests per linear foot of wall, feel more comfortable and are easier to keep tidy; loose tables and chairs flex for groups and provide the accessible seating you need. A typical mix places booths along walls and windows, loose two- and four-tops in the center, and some counter seats on window lines.

How much accessible seating do I need?

Under the 2010 ADA Standards for Accessible Design, at least 5% of seating spaces at dining surfaces must be accessible: surfaces 28-34 in (71-86 cm) high with knee clearance at least 27 in (69 cm) high, on an accessible route, and dispersed across the seating types and areas you offer. In Canada, accessibility requirements come from provincial building codes. Confirm the requirements for your project with your architect or local official.

What is the best upholstery for QSR booths?

Contract vinyl is the usual choice: it wipes clean, tolerates frequent sanitizing when the mill's guide allows, and is available in brand colors. Ask for high abrasion ratings (100,000+ double rubs is common for contract vinyl), a published cleaning guide, and good resistance to cracking. Avoid buttons and deep tufting on seats.

Can you match our brand colors across multiple locations?

Yes. We match vinyl, frame and base colors to your brand standard, keep the approved specification on file, and build later orders to the same drawings. Because dye lots vary, we recommend approving a strike-off or sample for each new production batch of a critical brand color.

What is the lead time for a fast casual seating package?

Typically 30-45 days for standard designs and 45-60 days for custom work, counted from approval of drawings and any sample, plus sea transit to your port or site. The schedule is confirmed in each quote. For openings with a fixed date, send the plan early so drawings and approvals do not become the bottleneck.

Do you ship to Canada?

Yes. We ship to the US and Canada by sea, export-packed, and quote FOB, CIF or DDP on request. Booth runs ship in labelled sections that match your floor plan, with a packing list by location. Customs clearance and duties depend on the terms you choose; DDP quotes include delivery to your door.

How are booths installed?

Booth sections arrive assembled or in large sub-assemblies, labelled to the plan. Your installer places them, joins sections, and fixes them to the wall or floor as the drawing shows. Wall-hung flip tables and fixed tables need suitable blocking or a solid wall, which we flag on the drawing.

Can booth cushions be replaced on site?

Yes. Our durable booths use removable seat and back cushions, fixed with screws or zips depending on the model. Keep a small stock of spare cushions and a damaged seat can be changed between services without calling in an upholsterer. Spare cushions are best ordered with the original shipment so they come from the same vinyl lot.

Are your chairs stackable?

Some of our steel-framed chairs can be supplied in stacking configurations; we state the safe stack height on the drawing. Many fast casual operators do not stack chairs daily, so we prioritize light weight and easy cleaning, and specify stacking only where your operation needs it.

Do your booths meet fire codes?

We specify fire-retardant foams and contract-grade covers to the destination market's rules on request, for example builds intended to meet California TB 117-2013, and provide test reports for the specific item where available. Requirements for public occupancies vary by jurisdiction, so check with your local fire official and tell us what they need.

Is there a minimum order?

Minimums are low for contract orders and are confirmed per design. A single location's package of booths, chairs and counter seating is a typical order, and mixed-SKU containers are welcome. Multi-unit rollouts can be scheduled across several shipments. Tell us your seat count and timing and we will confirm the minimum for the designs you choose.

Can we get a sample before ordering for all locations?

Yes. A pre-production sample booth section or chair can be built in your vinyl and finish for approval. For multi-unit programs we recommend approving samples once, then building every location to the same signed drawings. That keeps quality and color consistent from the first unit to the last.

What warranty do you offer?

Coverage is set per project and confirmed in your quote, because a booth in a 24-hour food court and one in a 6-hour cafe do very different work. We prefer to write the real terms for your use rather than publish a blanket promise.
