Biscuit tufting is the signature look of American diners, burger joints and steakhouses. The usual version uses buttons, and buttons are a cleaning problem: crumbs and grease pack into the dimples, and buttons pull out. The Diner Biscuit Booth keeps the square-grid look but stitches each square flat without buttons, so the back wipes clean in one pass and there is nothing to snag or pull loose.
Construction. Plywood and hardwood booth frame, high-resilience foam, square-quilted back in vinyl or leather over a stitched foam panel, plain upholstered seat with a contrast welt, recessed hardwood base. Seat and back cushions can be removed for recovering.
Specifying for quick service. For high turnover we recommend contract vinyl with a published cleaning guide; many contract vinyls are formulated to tolerate diluted bleach or common disinfectants. Leather suits slower, higher-check rooms.
Where it works. Burger, diner, breakfast and family concepts; sports bars serving food. Single, double and wall-run configurations are drawn to your plan.
