The Rail-Back combines a solid ash base with a broad, gently curved plywood back held by two steel rails that run down to the seat frame. The rails are both the look and the engineering: they take the load of a guest leaning back and hand it to the strongest part of the chair.
Construction. Solid ash legs with a reinforced seat frame and metal connecting sleeves at the leg tops; twin steel back rails; molded ash-veneer plywood back; padded seat in contract vinyl on a removable plywood pan.
Where it works. Fast casual concepts with a natural, Scandinavian or bakery-cafe look; brunch rooms; workplace and campus dining.
Options. Natural, honey or darker stain; seat in any contract vinyl; rail color in black or a metallic finish.
Cleaning. The coated ash veneer and steel rails wipe down with a standard sanitizer, and the vinyl seat unscrews from below if it ever needs recovering. Spare seats can be ordered with the first shipment so a damaged one is swapped in minutes rather than sent out for repair.
