Inside corners are where L-shaped booths waste seats. In a conventional L, the two seats meeting at the corner collide at the knees, so nobody sits there. The Corner-45 cuts the corner off at 45 degrees and makes it a real seat: a 23.6 in (60 cm) wide angled seat with its own angled back panel, served by a triangular pedestal table with 21.7 in (55 cm) sides.
Why it pays. A typical fast casual room has several inside corners. Each one converted from dead space into a seat adds capacity without adding floor area, and corner seats are popular with solo diners and pairs.
Construction. Two straight arms of 59 in (150 cm) each, a separate upholstered corner seat and back, vertical channel backs and a welt that runs continuously along the L and across the angled seat. Black steel single-column triangular table. Recessed base.
Where it works. Room corners, column bays and any L-shaped run in a fast casual or cafe plan.
